Clement Daniel Harrington (1867-1940)

  • The name Clement is from his mother's maiden name. Both his father and his maternal grandfather were named Daniel.

Clement is standing at the back in this family photo from around 1885, with a mustache:

Newspaper mentions

  • August 14, 1940 (rcj_19400814_01_003, col. 4), Clement Daniel Harrington (1867-1940) obituary

    CLEMENT D. HARRINGTON

Clement D. Harrington, brother of Preston M. Harrington of South Nyack, died Monday in Park Ridge. He leaves his wife, Annie E. Harrington; a daugter, Helen, of Richmond Hill; two brothers, Preston and Edwin D. Harrington of Mechanicsville; and two sisters, Mrs. J. C. Reynolds of Mechanicville and Mrs. Alice Winslow of Cambridge.

Funeral services are being held at three o'clock this afternoon at the White Funeral Home, 43 South Broadway, Nyack, to be followed by burinal in Evergreen Cemetery, Salem.

Another obituary in my archives reads

Clement D: Harrington,

Committal services or Clement D. Harrington of Richmond Hin will be conducted tomorrow in Evergreen Cemetery, Salem. Mr. Harrington was born January 6. 1867, in Hebron and spent his boyhood in Cambridge but for the past 45 years had resided in Richmond Hill where he died Monday, and Brooklyn. He is survived by his widow: a daughter, Helen; stepdaughter, Mrs, Hattie Bubert; two sisters, Mrs. J. C. Reynolds, Mechanicville, and Mrs. Alice Winslow, Cambridge, and two brothers, [the rest is missing]

If this is all correct then it's the first indication I've had of his parents living in Hebron after their marriage.
