Rachel Perham Clement (1838-1920)

  • Born in Hebron, NY, later lived in Cambridge NY

  • The Bancroft Public Library's cemetery resources lists Rachel's cause of death as arteriosclerosis.
  • A document mostly listing Harrington and Clement birth and death dates appears to have been written by Rachel, and includes these notes:
    • Went to Daytona, Florida, Dec. 11 1914. Started home April 1, got home the 6th. Stayed in N.Y. one night.
    • Went to Atlantic City the 9th of Dec. 16, came home Mar. 17, 1917. N.Y. 2 nights.
    • Spent the Winter of 1917 & 18 in Mcville in unreadable apartment.
    • Sunday, November 11, 1917, saw German submarine which was captured by the English, passed thro McVille on way to Canada.
    • In the above, McVille would be Mechanicville, NY, which is on the Hudson river.
