Much Loved Mother

I thought I must write you a few lines as I am writing to Rachel. Daniel Harrington was here to see me two weeks ago last Sunday and unreadable those things that you sent me. I am very thankful for them. They were just what I wanted. I think some of sending home for Box of unreadable as most all of the boys in our unit have had a box sent to them, what do you think about it in summer. Very good to see Daniel Harrington as he had just returned from Hebron those gloves were just what I wanted and those Handkerchiefs.

My health is very good and hope this may find you all in good health. I have a soar throat once in a while but it does not last long. I put a wet bandage on & think it is a very good thing unreadable. It has been raining very hard here to day and unreadable it will probable snow. The weather here is very changeable. Ineed it is very rumbly & must close.

Please write very soon a great long letter just as soon as you recive this message.

Yours with love from your Soldier Boy
