📄 Edwards family history

A short handwritten document in the same envelope as 📄 Letter, Adam Torrence to William Gray Torrence, Nov 6 1871 covers some history of the Edwards family. Presumably the people mentioned are ancestors of Elizabeth Edwards (1838-1891).

Found in an envelope labeled "Uncle Adam Torrence's letter" and "Family Record" along with the letter mentioned above and 📄 Poem attributed to William Gray Torrence.

Robert Edwards by grants from King George I acquired 86 acres of land fronting on the river in 1770. Robert Edwards leased this land to the English government, and dying soon after, his nephew Robert Edwards inherited the estate and ruding the revolutionary war this second Robert leased the land to the English Government for 99 years.

The second Robert Edwards died a batchelor [sic] but left two brothers, William and Miles. William Edwards settled in Westmoreland County Pennsylvania.
