  • Ticket stub for the Casino de Monte Carlo dated July 7 1926

An obituary reads:

KATHARINE HARRINGTON, 78, of Tenafly died Sunday. She was the past vice-president of the Woman's Club of Tenafly and the United Church Women in Englewood. She was also past president of the tri-state chapter of the National Park Alumni Association and the Women's Society of Christian Service of the Northern New Jersey Conference. She was a delegate to the Methodist General Conference on two occasions and served for four years as secretary for the Commissioner for Structure of Methodism Overseas. Surviving are two sons, Preston M. IlI of Nyack, N.Y., and George T. of Toledo, Ohio; a sister, Elizabeth Hosmer of Keene, N.H.; a brother, George Tone of Scarsdale, N.Y., and nine grandchildren. Her husband, Preston M. J. Jr., died in 1980. Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, Englewood, with burial in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Friends may visit tonight from 7 to 9 and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Barrett Funeral Home, Tenafly. Donations to the First United Methodist Church would be appreciated.
