Electa Tone (1834-1926)
Not to be confused with her mother, Electa Hubbard (1800-1872). Electa Tone married George F. Hubbard (1840-1876), so she's also identified as "Electa Hubbard" in some cases, including in her letter to Sumner LaRue Tone.

- Electa was Thomas Jefferson Tone (1830-1903)'s sister, making her Sumner Larue Tone (1864-1942)'s aunt (as she signs the letter).

Pioneer Here Dies After a 5-Months Illness
Funeral services for Mrs. Electra Tone Hubbard, 92 years old, early Polk county settler, who died yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. A. Rawson, 72 West Fourth street, wil be held at 2:30 o'clock Tusday afternoon at the Rawson residence.
Interment will be in Woodland cemetery.
Mrs. Hubbard, who was born at Bergen, N.Y., came to Polk City in 1865. She moved to Des Moines thirteen years later, after the death of her husband, Dr. George F. Hubbard.
Mrs. Hubbard was a member of the Plymouth Congregational church, an early member of the Des Moines Women's club and an active worker in civic affairs in Des Moines.
For the last twenty-five years she had resided at the home of her son-in-law, former United States Senator Charles A. Rawson. She had been ill for five months.
Her three daughters, Mrs. Rawson, Mrs. R.J. Huntington of New York and Mrs. F. H. Daniels of Pasadena, Cal., and her grandsons, Robert J. Huntington, were at the Rawson home when death came. One sister, Mrs. William Steele [?] of Crystal, Mich., two granddaughters, Mrs. Lawrence Vanderleck [?] and Mrs. George F. Farmer, and two great grandsons, Phillip and George Farmer, also survive.
