Abigail Spafford (1829-1905)

Mentioned in Gazetteer_and_biographical_record_Genesee_County_NY with her husband Charles Field (1819-1890):

Wickum Field, one of the pioneers of the county, came to Bergen from Killingworth, Conn., in June, 1809, and located on what is now known as ."the town-line road," about two miles west of Bergen village. Here, until his death, August II, 1853, he lived, rearing a family of seven children, two of whom survive, viz. : Nathan and Charles. Charles Field was born in the town April 20, 1819, and has passed his entire life here. He married, November 20, 1849, Abigail J., daughter of Nat and Cynthja Spafford, of Byron, and three children were born to them, two ofwhoms urvive,viz.: Mary E., born September 25, 1857, now the wife of George W. Sackett, of Bergen; and Jennie Estelle, born May 27, 1860, now the wife of Henry A. Arnold, of Le Roy. Mr. Field is now 69 year sold, and is still an active man. He remembers the early days of the county and has witnessed its rapid development. Mrs. Elizabeth Field, wife of Wickum Field, died January 22, 1848, aged 69 years.
