The Rockland County Journal carried a notice of her death in 1892 (rcj_18920227_0001.pdf, col. 4):
Mrs. M. Moore died Tuesday at the home of her son-in-law, William Best, aged 83 years. Her death was caused by heart failure resulting from an attack of grip. Deceased was a most estimable old lady with a large number of friends. Funeral in the Methodist Church on Wednesday at 12 o'clock.
"Grip" above is probably influenza.
