Deed, Daniel Clements' Dracut property
Deed for the purchase of "Bear Meadow" in Dracut, by Daniel Clement (1796-1872) from Allen Perham, April 1821.
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENS,
That I Allen Perham of Tyngsborough in the County of Middlesex and Commonwealth of Massachusetts, yeoman
in consideration of twenty five Dollars
paid by Daniel Clements of said Tyngsborough, yeoman
the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge, do hereby give, grant, sell, and convey unto the said
Daniel Clements, his heirs and assigns forever a certain piece of land situate in the north westerly part of Dracut containing about nineteen acres called and known by the name of Bear Meadow, bounded on the north by the land of John Perham and on lad of the late Ezekiel Richardson, on the east by lands of Jacob Blodget, on the south by lands of John Wilson, and on the west by lands late of Timothy Coburn and of Moses B. Coburn,
To have and to hold the afore-granded Premises to the said Daniel Clement, his Heirs and Assigns, to his and their Use and Behoof forever.
And I do convenant with the said Daniel Clement, his Heirs and Assigns, That I am lawfully seized in Fee of the afore-granted Premises; that they are free of all Incombrances; That I have good Right to sell and convey the same to the said Daniel Clement
And that I will warant and defend the same Premises to the said Daniel Clement, his Heirs and Assigns forever, against the lawful Claims and Demands of all Persons.
In Witness whereof, I the said Allen Perham, and Lucy Perham wife of said Allen who hereby releases her right to Dower in the premises
have hereunto set our Hands and Seals this thirteenth Day of April in the Year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and twenty one.

- It's not clear when Daniel Clement (1796-1872) moved from Dracut to Hebron. This suggests he was still in Dracut in 1821. π Letter to Daniel Clement, July 29 1831 suggests that he had moved by then.
- Allen Perham, Lucy Perham and Susanna Perham were probably related to Daniel's mother Rachel Perham (1763-1838).
